He trained at Bangalore Medical College and pursued Heart and Lung Transplantation Fellowship at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle UK — one of Europe's largest cardiothoracic transplant centres — under Prof. John Dark. He previously co-led the cardiothoracic transplant programme at MGM Healthcare Chennai before joining KIMS, and his unit performs the highest volume of dual-organ heart-lung transplants in South Asia, including India's first successful triple-organ heart-lung-liver transplant.
