He performed India's first percutaneous aortic valve implantation without open surgery. A graduate of King George's Medical College Lucknow with MD and DM from the same institution, he is a Fellow of the Endovascular Intervention Society of India and the Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, and previously served as Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Max Healthcare and Consultant at Escorts Heart Institute. A Padma Shri laureate (2016), Dr. Chandra introduced FFR-guided PCI, Angio Jet Thrombectomy, and Asia's first Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularisation programme to India, and is a prolific educator and international conference faculty.
