Dr. Praveen Chandra chairs Interventional & Structural Heart Cardiology at Medanta and is recognised as one of India's foremost interventional cardiologists, with particular expertise in TAVI, complex PCI, and bioabsorbable stent technology. He performed India's first percutaneous aortic valve implantation without open surgery. A graduate of King George's Medical College Lucknow with MD and DM from the same institution, he is a Fellow of the Endovascular Intervention Society of India and the Asia-Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology, and previously served as Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Max Healthcare and Consultant at Escorts Heart Institute. A Padma Shri laureate (2016), Dr. Chandra introduced FFR-guided PCI, Angio Jet Thrombectomy, and Asia's first Percutaneous Myocardial Laser Revascularisation programme to India, and is a prolific educator and international conference faculty.
