About the doctor

Dr. T. S. Kler is a Padma Bhushan laureate and one of the founding fathers of cardiac electrophysiology in India. He chairs the Fortis Heart & Vascular Institute in Gurugram, has performed 35,000+ coronary, renal and peripheral angioplasties, and led many of India's device-therapy firsts. Trained at Government Medical College Patiala, PGIMER Chandigarh, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1993 Electrophysiology Fellowship), he established India's first dedicated electrophysiology programme and was the first in the country to implant ICDs, CRT-P and CRT-D devices, and to perform His-Bundle Pacing (2015). He has trained 300+ interventional cardiologists across India, authored ~150 peer-reviewed papers, and is regular faculty at the Heart Rhythm Society (USA), American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology annual meetings.
