Dr. Ramesh Sarin is one of India's pioneering women surgical oncologists with a 50-year career and serves as Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals New Delhi. She trained at Lady Hardinge Medical College Delhi, completed FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow, and pursued surgical oncology training in the UK and US, holding additional Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons. A pioneer of breast conservation surgery, sentinel lymph node biopsy and oncoplastic breast surgery in India, she has personally performed over 18,000 cancer surgeries with a special focus on breast and gynaecological malignancies and is one of the most senior consultants advising the Apollo cancer programme.
