Balakrishnan to deliver India's largest heart-lung transplant ICU programme. He has overseen India's first paediatric heart transplant in a 1-year-old, the first ECMO-bridge to lung transplant, and runs Asia's busiest mechanical circulatory support and ECMO programmes — handling cases referred from across South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
