Trained at King George's Medical College Lucknow (MBBS, MS, MCh) with ECFMG certification and a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon posting at King's College Hospital London, he also serves as Programme Director for DNB Cardiothoracic Surgery at Fortis Escorts. He was awarded a Citation by President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam at the 2002 ISMICS meeting and entered the Limca Book of Records (2008) for performing CABG on a 94-year-old patient — the oldest on record in India. He is an active member of IACTS, CSI, ASCVS, and ISMICS.
